Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by J.B. Murray was sold in the Outsider and Vernacular Art auction at Christies in January this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,142.00 (€ 1,972.74). Admittedly, works by J.B. Murray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Green), circa 1986 in February last year with an auction result of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,352.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von J.B. Murray wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Outsider and Vernacular Art bei Christies versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.142,00 (€ 1.972,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von J.B. Murray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Green), circa 1986 im Februar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.352,64).
