This artwork by J. A. Henderson Tarbet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2005. In the The Scottish Sale at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh auction, the work Aberdour Harbour sold for GBP 4,080.00 (€ 6,016.77) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. This high result makes Aberdour Harbour the most expensive artwork by J. A. Henderson Tarbet that we have observed at auctions so far.
