Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Neidpath Castle by J. A. Henderson Tarbet was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,231.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by J. A. Henderson Tarbet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aberdour Harbour in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 4,080.00 (€ 6,016.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Neidpath Castle von J. A. Henderson Tarbet kam im November 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.231,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von J. A. Henderson Tarbet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aberdour Harbour im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 6.016,77).
