Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Folk singer by Ivor Lawson for GBP 120.00 (€ 176.96). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivor Lawson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Carnival, which sold at auction in October 2005 for GBP 264.00 (€ 389.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Folk singer von Ivor Lawson für GBP 120,00 (€ 176,96) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ivor Lawson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Carnival beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für GBP 264,00 (€ 389,32) versteigert wurde.
