A top price for Ivor Lawson - as previously expected
The work Carnival by Ivor Lawson was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2005. The price achieved of GBP 264.00 (€ 389.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Carnival is the most expensive artwork by Ivor Lawson that we have observed at auctions so far.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 264,00 (€ 389,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Carnival das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ivor Lawson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
