Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Handayu of the Naka-Omiya (Naka Omiya uchi Handayu) by Isoda Koryusai was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,502.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isoda Koryusai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Courtesan promenading with attendants beneath cherry blossoms, c. 1770s in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,278.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Handayu of the Naka-Omiya (Naka Omiya uchi Handayu) von Isoda Koryusai kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.502,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isoda Koryusai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Courtesan promenading with attendants beneath cherry blossoms, c. 1770s im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.278,41).
