Auction result well in line with expectations
The work First dream of the new year by Isoda Koryusai was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in Los Angeles in September this year. The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,904.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isoda Koryusai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Courtesan promenading with attendants beneath cherry blossoms, c. 1770s, which sold at auction in March 2009 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,278.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit First dream of the new year von Isoda Koryusai wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.904,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Isoda Koryusai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Courtesan promenading with attendants beneath cherry blossoms, c. 1770s beobachtet, die im März 2009 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.278,41) versteigert wurde.
