Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 2,560.00 (€ 2,966.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isoda Koryusai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Courtesan promenading with attendants beneath cherry blossoms, c. 1770s in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,278.41).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.560,00 (€ 2.966,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isoda Koryusai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Courtesan promenading with attendants beneath cherry blossoms, c. 1770s im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.278,41).
