Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Edo period (1615-1868), 18th century by Isoda Koryusai. The price achieved of USD 1,211.25 (€ 1,091.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isoda Koryusai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Courtesan promenading with attendants beneath cherry blossoms, c. 1770s in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,278.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Edo period (1615-1868), 18th century von Isoda Koryusai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.211,25 (€ 1.091,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isoda Koryusai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Courtesan promenading with attendants beneath cherry blossoms, c. 1770s im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.278,41).
