A top price for Isabel de Obaldía - as previously expected
In May 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale, which included the work Ojos arenados by Isabel de Obaldía. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,173.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Ojos arenados is the most expensive artwork by Isabel de Obaldía that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ojos arenados von Isabel de Obaldía zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.173,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Ojos arenados das teuerste Kunstwerk von Isabel de Obaldía, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
