Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Art For Grenfell, which included the work En Passage (Stones Against Diamonds) by Isaac Julien. It changed hands for a price of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,079.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isaac Julien - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Baltimore., which sold at auction in November last year for EUR 59,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Art For Grenfell durch, in der auch die Arbeit En Passage (Stones Against Diamonds) von Isaac Julien zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.079,65) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Isaac Julien mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Baltimore. beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für EUR 59.400,00 versteigert wurde.
