Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of George Edmund Donisthorpe (1809-1875), half-length, in a black suit by Isaac F. Bird was auctioned at Christies in London in August 2010. The price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,057.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isaac F. Bird have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Charles and Terrell Garnett of Undercliffe House, Bradford, full-length, in a landscape in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,880.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of George Edmund Donisthorpe (1809-1875), half-length, in a black suit von Isaac F. Bird kam im August 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.057,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isaac F. Bird auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of Charles and Terrell Garnett of Undercliffe House, Bradford, full-length, in a landscape im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.880,76).
