Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Portrait of a lady, half-length, in a white dress and black shawl by Isaac F. Bird. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 750.00 (€ 906.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaac F. Bird achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Charles and Terrell Garnett of Undercliffe House, Bradford, full-length, in a landscape in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,880.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, half-length, in a white dress and black shawl von Isaac F. Bird zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 906,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isaac F. Bird erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Charles and Terrell Garnett of Undercliffe House, Bradford, full-length, in a landscape im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.880,76).
