A top price for Iqbal Hussain - as previously expected
The work Untitled (Amaltaas in bloom) by Iqbal Hussain was auctioned at Bonhams in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,999.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (Amaltaas in bloom) is the most expensive artwork by Iqbal Hussain that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Untitled (Amaltaas in bloom) von Iqbal Hussain kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.999,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Untitled (Amaltaas in bloom) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Iqbal Hussain, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
