In April 2007 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Pictures and Old Master Drawings, which included the work Portrait of a young lady, bust-length, wearing a lace collar by Ippolito Leoni. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 480.00 (€ 702.78), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ippolito Leoni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tête de jeune homme moustachu aux cheveux longs in June 2002 with an auction result of EUR 5,640.00.

Im April 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Pictures and Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a young lady, bust-length, wearing a lace collar von Ippolito Leoni zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 702,78) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ippolito Leoni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tête de jeune homme moustachu aux cheveux longs im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.640,00.
