In October 2013 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, which included the work Jeune Garçon Pensif by Ippolito Leoni. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,642.00 37% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ippolito Leoni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tête de jeune homme moustachu aux cheveux longs, which sold at auction in June 2002 for EUR 5,640.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jeune Garçon Pensif von Ippolito Leoni zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.642,00 und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ippolito Leoni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tête de jeune homme moustachu aux cheveux longs beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für EUR 5.640,00 versteigert wurde.
