Despite a disappointment, a good price for Ione Saldanha
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Ione Saldanha for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,435.42). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist and Modern Art including Latin American and Russian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Ione Saldanha that we have observed at auction so far.
