Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux, which included the work Waratteru-yōna Tsura by Yuichi Inoue. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 13,275.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yuichi Inoue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shisso (Painted In 1972) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 514,682.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waratteru-yōna Tsura von Yuichi Inoue zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 13.275,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yuichi Inoue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shisso (Painted In 1972) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 514.682,61).
