Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction The Gift of Photographs, which included the work Saul Steinberg with Masks, New York by Inge Morath. The price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,816.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Other works by Inge Morath have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2010 the work Mrs Eveleigh Nash with her chauffeur, at Buckingham Palace Mall, 1953 was auctioned for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,125.92).
