Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction The Gift of Photographs, which included the work Saul Steinberg with Masks, New York by Inge Morath. The price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,816.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Other works by Inge Morath have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2010 the work Mrs Eveleigh Nash with her chauffeur, at Buckingham Palace Mall, 1953 was auctioned for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,125.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Gift of Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saul Steinberg with Masks, New York von Inge Morath zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.816,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Inge Morath konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2010 die Arbeit Mrs Eveleigh Nash with her chauffeur, at Buckingham Palace Mall, 1953 für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.125,92) versteigert.
