A top price for Imre Bak - as previously expected
The work Breaking Out (Diptych) by Imre Bak was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 42,500.00 (€ 51,143.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Breaking Out (Diptych) is the most expensive artwork by Imre Bak that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Breaking Out (Diptych) von Imre Bak kam im November 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 42.500,00 (€ 51.143,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Breaking Out (Diptych) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Imre Bak, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
