Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary East, which included the work Black And White V by Imre Bak. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,785.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Imre Bak - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Breaking Out (Diptych), which sold at auction in November 2013 for GBP 42,500.00 (€ 51,143.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black And White V von Imre Bak zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.785,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Imre Bak mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Breaking Out (Diptych) beobachtet, die im November 2013 für GBP 42.500,00 (€ 51.143,06) versteigert wurde.
