In June 2014 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Mapping Terrains by Imran Qureshi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,713.61), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Imran Qureshi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Garden Within in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 42,500.00 (€ 49,805.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mapping Terrains von Imran Qureshi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.713,61) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Imran Qureshi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Garden Within im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 42.500,00 (€ 49.805,80).
