The work Portrait of Vera Repina, the artist's wife, reading by Ilya Repin was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2019. It achieved a price of GBP 231,250.00 (€ 271,544.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ilya Repin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Parisian Café in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 4,521,250.00 (€ 5,001,922.73).

Die Arbeit Portrait of Vera Repina, the artist's wife, reading von Ilya Repin kam im November 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 231.250,00 (€ 271.544,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ilya Repin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Parisian Café im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.521.250,00 (€ 5.001.922,73).
