Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Turkish untitled by Ilhan Koman was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in October 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,378.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ilhan Koman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2013 for SEK 500,000.00 (€ 58,551.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Turkish untitled von Ilhan Koman wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.378,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ilhan Koman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2013 für SEK 500.000,00 (€ 58.551,03) versteigert wurde.
