Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Ilhan Koman was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,324.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ilhan Koman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2013 with an auction result of SEK 500,000.00 (€ 58,551.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ilhan Koman wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.324,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ilhan Koman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 500.000,00 (€ 58.551,03).
