Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Apocalypse. March Of The Opposition by Igor Novikov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,220.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igor Novikov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Goodbye Russia. Welcome (from the 'Apocalypse' series), which sold at auction in June 2009 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,336.66).

Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Apocalypse. March Of The Opposition von Igor Novikov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.220,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Igor Novikov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Goodbye Russia. Welcome (from the 'Apocalypse' series) beobachtet, die im Juni 2009 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.336,66) versteigert wurde.
