Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Five illustrations for the fairytale Ivashechka by Igor Ershov was sold in the Russian Pictures Including Post-War and Contemporary Art Part II auction at Christies in London in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,720.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igor Ershov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A group of eleven illustrations for the Khorovod book of Russian fairytales, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 7,250.00 (€ 9,164.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Five illustrations for the fairytale Ivashechka von Igor Ershov wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Russian Pictures Including Post-War and Contemporary Art Part II bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.720,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Igor Ershov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A group of eleven illustrations for the Khorovod book of Russian fairytales beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 7.250,00 (€ 9.164,24) versteigert wurde.
