A top price for Igor Chelkovski - as previously expected
In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Russian Untitled, 1987 by Igor Chelkovski. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 12,043.94) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Russian Untitled, 1987 is the most expensive artwork by Igor Chelkovski that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Russian Untitled, 1987 von Igor Chelkovski zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 12.043,94) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Russian Untitled, 1987 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Igor Chelkovski, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
