Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cloud by Igor Chelkovski was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,025.86). Other works by Igor Chelkovski have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2008 by the work Russian Untitled, 1987 at USD 18,750.00 (€ 12,043.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cloud von Igor Chelkovski im November 2011 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.025,86) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Igor Chelkovski wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2008 die Arbeit Russian Untitled, 1987 mit USD 18.750,00 (€ 12.043,94).
