Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Iberê Camargo (Brazilian 1914-1994) by Iberê Camargo was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 75,000.00 (€ 57,745.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Iberê Camargo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sem Título in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 394,000.00 (€ 353,839.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Iberê Camargo (Brazilian 1914-1994) von Iberê Camargo wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 57.745,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Iberê Camargo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sem Título im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 394.000,00 (€ 353.839,25).
