Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Weightless Assemblage by Ian Williams was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in September 2020. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 26,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 27,720.00 (€ 3,051.61). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ian Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Original Things (Painted In 2021), which sold at auction in April 2021 for HKD 73,160.00 (€ 7,832.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Weightless Assemblage von Ian Williams kam im September 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 26.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 27.720,00 (€ 3.051,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ian Williams mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Original Things (Painted In 2021) beobachtet, die im April 2021 für HKD 73.160,00 (€ 7.832,92) versteigert wurde.
