Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2001 Christies in Singapore held the auction PRE-WAR BALINESE MODERNISTS: 1928-1942, which included the work Ngerorod: Abduction at a Bathing Place by I Reneh. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SGD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of SGD 8,812.50 (€ 5,480.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by I Reneh have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2001 the work Balinese Myth was auctioned for SGD 12,925.00 (€ 8,038.53).
