Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Inside Batuan Village by I Reneh was auctioned at Christies in Singapore in September 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SGD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of SGD 6,110.00 (€ 3,800.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by I Reneh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Balinese Myth, which sold at auction in September 2001 for SGD 12,925.00 (€ 8,038.53).
