Inscribed with the artist's name by an unidentified hand on the reverse. The artist was a member of the Pita Maha artists' association.

A top price for I Reneh
In September 2001 Christies in Singapore held the auction PRE-WAR BALINESE MODERNISTS: 1928-1942, which included the work Balinese Myth by I Reneh. Here, the upper estimate of SGD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for SGD 12,925.00 (€ 8,038.53). With this result, Balinese Myth is even the most expensive work of art by I Reneh that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für I Reneh
Im September 2001 führte Christies in Singapur die Auktion PRE-WAR BALINESE MODERNISTS: 1928-1942 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Balinese Myth von I Reneh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von SGD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für SGD 12.925,00 (€ 8.038,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Balinese Myth sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von I Reneh, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
