Auction result well in line with expectations
The work North Of The North Wind by Hussein Shariffe was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Christies in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,767.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hussein Shariffe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Songlines: For Bruce Chatwin in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 40,597.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit North Of The North Wind von Hussein Shariffe wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.767,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hussein Shariffe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Songlines: For Bruce Chatwin im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 40.597,49).
