Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included this untitled work by Huguette Caland. It changed hands for a price of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 41,973.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huguette Caland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bribes de Corps (Body Parts) in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 250,000.00 (€ 289,982.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Huguette Caland zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 41.973,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huguette Caland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bribes de Corps (Body Parts) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 250.000,00 (€ 289.982,07).
