Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Ed Moses) by Huguette Caland for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,928.48). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Art at Christies in Dubai and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Huguette Caland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bribes de Corps (Body Parts) in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 250,000.00 (€ 289,982.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Ed Moses) von Huguette Caland für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.928,48) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huguette Caland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bribes de Corps (Body Parts) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 250.000,00 (€ 289.982,07).
