The »bidding war« ended at SEK 40,000.00 (€ 4,321.32), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hugo Salmson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait de la vicomtesse de Nantois in September 2011 with an auction result of EUR 22,500.00.

Die Arbeit Returning home from the fields von Hugo Salmson wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Klassiska bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 40.000,00 (€ 4.321,32) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hugo Salmson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait de la vicomtesse de Nantois im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.500,00.
