Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lumiere, 1979 by Hugo Demarco was sold in the Contemporary Art 2 — « Lumières et Géométries » auction at Artcurial in June 2013. It changed hands for a price of EUR 2,858.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hugo Demarco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Relief À Deplacement Continuelle in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 43,059.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lumiere, 1979 von Hugo Demarco wurde im Juni 2013 in der Auktion Contemporary Art 2 — « Lumières et Géométries » bei Artcurial versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 2.858,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hugo Demarco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Relief À Deplacement Continuelle im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 43.059,13).
