Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Landscape with River and Bridge by Hugo Darnaut was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2007. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,800.00 (€ 5,710.10). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugo Darnaut - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Austrian winterlandschaft (A Winter'S Day), which sold at auction in November 2013 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,042.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape with River and Bridge von Hugo Darnaut kam im April 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.800,00 (€ 5.710,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hugo Darnaut mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Austrian winterlandschaft (A Winter'S Day) beobachtet, die im November 2013 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.042,08) versteigert wurde.
