This artwork by Hugh Thomson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2006. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work An interruption of prayers sold for GBP 504.00 (€ 753.02) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 250.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugh Thomson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Fountain In Saint James'S Park, which sold at auction in June 2001 for GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,537.48).

Für andere Arbeiten von Hugh Thomson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Fountain In Saint James'S Park beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.537,48) versteigert wurde.
