Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstraction #65 by Hugh Henry Breckenridge was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2015. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,375.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hugh Henry Breckenridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Open Garden in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 221,493.75).
