In July 2007 Christies in New York held the auction House Sale, which included the work Corner of the Parlor by Hugh Henry Breckenridge. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,487.86), 70% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hugh Henry Breckenridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Open Garden in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 221,493.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Corner of the Parlor von Hugh Henry Breckenridge zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.487,86) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hugh Henry Breckenridge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Open Garden im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 221.493,75).
