Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Seeking Plum Blossoms by Huang Shen. The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 55,803.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Shen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peach Blossom Land in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 6,000,000.00 (€ 632,869.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seeking Plum Blossoms von Huang Shen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 55.803,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Shen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peach Blossom Land im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.000.000,00 (€ 632.869,99).
