This artwork by Huang Ming Zhe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Taipei in October 2001. In the 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART auction, the work Hope sold for TWD 998,750.00 (€ 32,095.94) - well above the upper estimate of TWD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Huang Ming Zhe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Women in downtown Taipei sold at auction in October 2001 with the realized price of TWD 1,175,000.00 (€ 37,759.92).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Ming Zhe erzielte im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in Taipeh einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART wurde die Arbeit Hope für TWD 998.750,00 (€ 32.095,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von TWD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Huang Ming Zhe; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Women in downtown Taipei im Oktober 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von TWD 1.175.000,00 (€ 37.759,92).
