It achieved a price of TWD 376,000.00 (€ 12,838.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Ming Zhe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Women in downtown Taipei, which sold at auction in October 2001 for TWD 1,175,000.00 (€ 37,759.92).

Die Arbeit Fighter from the east von Huang Ming Zhe kam im April 2001 bei Christies in Taipeh zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von TWD 376.000,00 (€ 12.838,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Ming Zhe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Women in downtown Taipei beobachtet, die im Oktober 2001 für TWD 1.175.000,00 (€ 37.759,92) versteigert wurde.
