Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year China Guardian held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Seal Script by Huang Miaozi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 48,000.00 (€ 6,151.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Miaozi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Regular Script, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 24,000.00 (€ 24,508.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte China Guardian die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script von Huang Miaozi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 48.000,00 (€ 6.151,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Miaozi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 24.000,00 (€ 24.508,70) versteigert wurde.
