In April 2021 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Huang Miaozi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 37,760.00 (€ 4,042.80), 72% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Huang Miaozi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Regular Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 24,508.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Huang Miaozi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 37.760,00 (€ 4.042,80) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Miaozi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 24.508,70).
