The work Calligraphy Couplet in Xingshu by Huang Miaozi was sold in the Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in August 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 13,860.00 (€ 1,509.33), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Miaozi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Regular Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 24,508.70).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Xingshu von Huang Miaozi wurde im August 2021 in der Auktion Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 13.860,00 (€ 1.509,33) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Miaozi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 24.508,70).
