In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Huang Jie. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,590.41), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Jie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poem In Kaishu, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,905.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Huang Jie zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.590,41) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Jie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poem In Kaishu beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.905,00) versteigert wurde.
